To all Faculty and Students:
With Governor Pritzker lifting some of the restrictions, we are able to reopen for those students that wish to come in for their private lessons with the following CDC protocols in place effective May 4th.
Students wishing to continue with virtual lessons may do so. Those not taking virtual lessons are encouraged to come back into our safe environment and resume lessons or sign up for virtual lessons if they desire. Music is such an important part of all of our lives here at A & A Music Academy. The school will be cleaned daily, and we feel we can provide a safe environment for everyone by limiting access to students only. As time goes on, we will certainly be able to allow parents and siblings in as well, but ask that for this month at least, only the student should come in. Parents can meet their child at the end of their lesson at the front of the building to talk to their teacher. Your child will exit from the front door on the sidewalk. We want everyone to be as safe as possible.
For those students using the Art building, there is more room to social distance inside. You will find masks available upon entry through the rear porch on the little desk. You should exit after your lesson through the front porch after depositing the provided mask in the bin by the front door and proceed along the sidewalk to your parent’s waiting car. Your teacher may accompany you to talk with your parents if necessary. The handwashing rules apply to you as above and there are chairs for you to sit and wait for your teacher in the front area to make social distancing easier. We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
Piano tuning services will be resuming as well for customers who are not exhibiting any symptoms. Our technicians will practice social distancing and wear masks during the tuning and wipe the piano keys down after they are finished.
