Miranda Preuss is a recent graduate from Augustana College where she received her B.A. in Instrumental Music Education with a minor in Spanish. Throughout her music education she has played in many ensembles such as the ILMEA District 9 Orchestra, the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Augustana Symphony Orchestra, the Augustana String Quartet, and was invited to play with the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra. Now, in addition to teaching violin, viola and piano at A & A, she will be working at May Whitney Elementary School in Lake Zurich,IL teaching orchestra and general music. Her purpose in teaching music is to instill in her students the important life skills gained through learning a musical instrument such as patience, determination, and diligence. More importantly, however, she wants her students to have fun and be proud of the music they create.
